From Doral to Paris!
The recognized Alicia Faccio modeling school will take a group of students on a remarkable journey to the “City of Light” where culture, art and modeling will go hand in hand.

Paris, known to many as the city of love or the capital of fashion, art, cuisine and architecture, was the chosen destination for the students of Alicia Faccio Modeling school, who for the first time will have the opportunity to travel to Europe with the prestigious school.
The founder and teacher of the academy, Alicia Faccio who for years has educated her students in the art of modeling, etiquette, refinement, and image-improvement came up with the initiative.
“On this trip we wanted to combine fashion and culture and Paris turned out being the perfect city for this first voyage with my students, not only for being a fashion Mecca and a dream metropolis but because it is also a city highly rich in culture,” Faccio said.
The whole idea of this trip came about thanks to a talk Faccio had with her sister-in-law Cecille Blondet, a renowned Puerto Rican art collector and former Director of Development and Communications at the Ponce Art Museum in San Juan, Puerto Rico, who motivated Faccio to organize a trip to France for the students of her modeling school.
Faccio and Blondet will be the city guides of this magical and chic journey that begins with a direct flight in Air France airline to Charles de Gaulle airport from where they will heading to Prince de Conde Hotel located on Saint Germain, a popular area in Paris.
“We will keep it very Parisian and not the typical tourist experience so the girls can learn more about the french culture,” said Faccio.
In addition to her vast knowledge in arts, Blondet lived in Paris during her college education, which makes her a great connoisseur of the city, its culture, language and lifestyle.
The 9 days scheduled trip, promises to immerse the young ladies in the depths of Parisian culture with activities that goes from meet renowned artists, photoshoot productions with the students, tour majestic monuments and museums to drink tea in the “tres chic” Maison Angelina (Angelina House), one of the most prestigious tea rooms located in front of the Louvre Museum.
“I love teaching the tea culture to my students as part of their protocol and etiquette classes,” said Faccio. “In fact, every year I usually make a “Tea Party” with my students at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Coconut Grove where they are taught in the art of tea, its history, how should be drunk and when it the perfect timing to do so.”
A typical day in the travel itinerary of this group of young ladies could start with a walk along the Champs Elysees followed by a visit to the studio of a famous Dutch artist Mark Brusse or the atelier of the Puerto Rican designer based in Paris Reinaldo Alvarez and culminate with night cruise on the river Seine.
With this initiative Faccio expects to offer more educational knowledge to her students not only about the fashion industry and its functioning but also on art, etiquette and all the proposals that the city has to give culturally.
“As I created the Tea Party initiative at the Ritz Carlton five years ago, I would continue organizing this kind of activities for my students, not only to travel to Paris but to other major capitals of the world,”said Faccio .
Personal training, personal improvement, correct manners and learning how to communicate verbally and also non-verbally are some of the important aspects Alicia Faccio Academy seeks to strengthen in each of its students.
Therefore Faccio, plans to organize a previous meeting with the group of girls traveling to Paris to guide them about what is appropriate attire that should be worn, what clothes to take, how to pack it as well as to highlight what they really need to carry on this trip.
Young ladies from 15 to 18 years old will integrate the traveling group who eagerly await their arrival to the city of lights.
“I think it will be a memorable experience in my life; Just being on the other side of the world, in Paris, and being able to do all the activities we have listed for this trip make of this a great experience,” said Isabella Rodriguez, one of the students of Alicia Faccio modeling school.
Faccio began her career as a model and a modeling teacher in her native Puerto Rico participating in numerous photoshoots, commercials and fashion shows including an Oscar de la Renta fashion event held on the island to release one of his first fragrance for men, “Per Lui”.
After getting a degree in Communication Faccio moved to Miami where she continues doing some modeling work, which eventually motivates her to ??create her own modeling school.
Her first collaborations were with the Spanish-language television network Univision who became interested in the work she was doing in her academy.
“I started working with Osmel Sousa for Nuestra Belleza Miami (Our Beauty Miami) contest selecting the candidates who later would represent Florida in the Nuestra Belleza Nacional (Our National Beauty) competition,” Faccio said. “One of my students actually became Nuestra Belleza Nacional.”
Additionally, she participated in several fashion and etiquette segments for many of the showbiz, entertainment and interviews programs of Univision.
Her participation in the Miss Carnaval Miami, the Chrysler Hispanic contest “El Arte Que Nos Mueve” and the Hispanic Heritage show which is held every year at the International Mall has made her worthy of an award given from the city of Doral not only for her achievements and long career but for being the first modeling school created in Doral.
Over the years the Alicia Faccio school has been able to break through the fashion industry in Miami preparing many young ladies who today are today promising models working with some of the most prestigious modeling agencies in the world like Elite Model or talented women with great interpersonal skills.

De Doral a Paris!
La reconocida escuela de modelaje Alecia Faccio llevará a un grupo de alumnas en un extraordinario viaje a “la ciudad luz” donde la cultura, el arte y el modelaje irán de la mano.

Paris, conocida por muchos como la ciudad del amor o la capital de la moda, del arte, de la gastronomía y arquitectura, fue el destino elegido para las estudiantes de “Alicia Faccio Modeling”, quienes por primera vez tendrán la oportunidad de viajar a Europa con la prestigiosa escuela.
La iniciativa estuvo a cargo de la fundadora y profesora de la academia, Alicia Faccio quien por años ha educado a sus alumnas en el arte del modelaje, etiqueta y refinamiento, mejoramiento personal e imagen.
“En este viaje queremos combinar moda y cultura y Paris es la ciudad perfecta para esta primera experiencia con las chicas, no solo por ser la cuna de la moda y una [metrópoli] de ensueños sino porque es también una ciudad muy rica en cultura,” dijo Faccio.
La idea de realizar este viaje nace gracias a una platica de Faccio con su cuñada Cecille Blondet, una reconocida coleccionista de arte en Puerto Rico y ex directora de desarrollo y comunicaciones del Museo de Arte de Ponce en San Juan, Puerto Rico, quién motivó a Faccio a organizar un viaje a Francia para las estudiantes de su escuela de modelaje.
Blondet y Faccio serán las guías de este mágico y chic recorrido que comienza con un vuelo directo de la aerolínea Air France al aeropuerto Charles de Gaulle de donde se trasladaran al Hotel Prince de Conde ubicado en el área de Saint Germain en Paris.
“Queremos que todo sea muy parisino y no la típica [experiencia turística] para que las chicas puedan conocer mas de la cultura francesa,” dijo Faccio.
Además de su vasto conocimiento de arte, Blondet vivió en Paris durante sus estudios universitarios lo cuál la hace una gran conocedora de la ciudad, su cultura, idioma y estilo de vida.
El viaje programado del 17 al 26 de Junio de este año, promete sumergir a las estudiantes en lo mas profundo de la cultura parisina con actividades que van desde conocer a artistas de renombre, realizar producciones fotográficas con las alumnas, recorrer majestuosos monumentos y museos hasta tomar el té en la “tres chic” Maison Angelina (Casa Angelina), uno de los salones de té mas prestigiosos del mundo ubicado frente al Museo del Louvre.
“Me encanta [impartir] la cultura del té a mis estudiantes como parte de sus clases de etiqueta y protocolo,” dijo Faccio.
“De hecho, todos los años acostumbro a realizar un “Tea Party” con mis alumnas en el Ritz Carlton de Coconut Grove donde se les enseña el arte de tomar té, su historia, porque se toma y a que horas debe tomarse,” agregó.
Un día típico dentro del itinerario de viaje de las estudiantes podría comenzar con una caminata por los Champs Elysees seguido de una visita al estudio del afamado artista plástico holandés Mark Brusse o al atelier del diseñador Puertorriqueño radicado en Paris Reinaldo Álvarez y culminar con una paseo de noche en barco por el río Sena.
Faccio espera con esta iniciativa poder brindarle a sus alumnas mas conocimientos educativos no solo sobre la industria de la moda y su funcionamiento sino también sobre arte, etiqueta y todo las propuestas que la ciudad tiene para ofrecer culturalmente.
“Al igual que cree la iniciativa del Tea Party en el Ritz Carlton hace cinco años, me gustaría seguir organizando este tipo de actividades para mis alumnas y no sólo poder viajar a Paris sino a otras de las capitales mas importantes del mundo,” dijo Faccio.
La formación personal, el aprender a proyectarse y a comunicarse no solo de manera verbal sino también corporal son aspectos importante que la academia Alicia Faccio Modeling busca reforzar en cada una de sus estudiantes.
Por esta razón Faccio, planea organizar una reunión previa con el grupo de chicas para orientarlas acerca de cual es la vestimenta adecuada que se debe llevar, como se debe empacar y que realmente necesitan llevar consigo en este viaje.
El grupo de viajeras estará comprendido por señoritas de 15 a 18 años quienes esperan con anhelo su llegada a la ciudad luz.
“Creo que va a ser una experiencia memorable en mi vida; el solo hecho de estar al otro lado del mundo, en Paris, y poder realizar todas las actividades que tenemos programas para este viaje hace de ésta una gran experiencia,” dijo Isabella Rodriguez, alumna de Alicia Faccio.
Faccio que comenzó su carrera como modelo y profesora de modelaje en su natal Puerto Rico participando en numerosas producciones fotográficas, comerciales y desfiles incluyendo un desfile que Oscar de la Renta realizó en la isla para presentar una de sus primeras fragancias, “Per Lui”.
Tras finalizar sus estudios de comunicación Faccio se muda a Miami donde continua realizando algunos trabajos de modelaje y surge la idea de crear su propia escuela de modelaje.
Sus primeros colaboraciones fueron la cadena televisiva de habla hispana Univision quienes comenzaron a interesarse por el trabajo que realizaba su academia.
“Comencé a trabajar junto a Osmel Sousa en el certamen Nuestra Belleza Miami seleccionando a las candidatas que posteriormente representarían a Florida en el concurso de Nuestra Belleza Nacional,” dijo Faccio.
“Una de mis alumnas llego a ser Nuestra Belleza Nacional,” agregó.
Adicionalmente, participó en numerosos segmentos de moda y etiqueta también para la cadena Univision en programas de farándula, entretenimiento y entrevistas.
Sus participación en el Miss Carnaval Miami, el concurso Chrysler “El arte que nos mueve” y en el mes de la Hispanidad que se realiza cada año en el International Mall la han hecho merecedora de un reconocimiento otorgado por la ciudad del Doral nos solo por sus logros y larga trayectoria sino por ser la primera escuela de etiqueta que se fundó en el Doral.
Es así como a lo largo de los años la escuela Alicia Faccio ha conseguido abrirse paso en la industria de la moda de Miami preparando a muchas jóvenes quienes son hoy modelos que pertenecen a reconocidas agencias de modelaje como Elite Model o talentosas mujeres con grandes habilidades interpersonales.
