Intercontinental at Doral Miami Committed to Raising $75,000.00 For Local Breast Cancer Treatment and research.
One hundred percent of the proceeds to benefit Susan G. Komen® Miami/Fort Lauderdale
InterContinental at Doral Miami has set the bar high for its sixth annual Together in Pink charity event. With a fundraising goal of $75,000.00 of which 100 percent will benefit Susan G. Komen® Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, the hotel and Zumba® Fitness expect this to be a stellar fundraising year.
The Party in Pink Zumbathon® charity event is kicked off with a lighting ceremony on October, 3 at 6:45 p.m. Emmy award winner, Maria Fernandez Lopez, reporter at Univision Noticias 23 “flipped” the switch that lit the InterContinental at Doral Miami in pink for the month of October to raise breast cancer awareness.
In order to reach their goal, the hotel is offering specials in the restaurant and lounge as well as providing guests an opportunity to make a donation when they check out. Also, donation packages are available by calling NMG Consulting at 305.470.4680
This year’s Zumbathon® will be held on Saturday, October 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tickets are $20.00 in advance at $25.00 on the day of the event. Tickets can be purchased at: http://tinyurl.com/ICPartyinPink.
For the past 5 years, the Doral hotel has hosted a Zumbathon® where hundreds of Zumba® enthusiasts dance for 90 minutes with the sole purpose of raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research. This year, the monies raised will be put towards local hospitals and community organizations that serve Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe counties as well as fund ground breaking breast cancer research.
To date, donations have been made by PSAV South Florida, the leading provider of audiovisual and event technology support; MEC Fitness Studio, a gym and physical fitness center; and Brown & Brown Insurance, an independent insurance intermediary that through its licensed subsidiaries provides a variety of insurance products and services to corporate, public entity, institutional, trade, professional, association and individual clients.
