There will be no meal distribution tomorrow in Miami-Dade Schools
DORAL, FL – If you rely on ‘grab and go’ breakfasts and lunches to feed your family, you need to know that tomorrow, Friday, April 10th, there will be no meal distribution as announced recently by the district.
To compensate for this, today, Thursday, April 9, parents who are interested in stocking up for the weekend and enjoy family meals will be able to do so.
Additional meals will be offered from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Please plan accordingly so children in your family have a plate of food for the weekend.
Ever since schools canceled classes across the county in mid-March to help flatten the curve of COVID-19 disease, Miami-Dade County Public Schools has been providing free hot grab-and-go-meals to all students from Monday to Friday.
In some schools, free meals have also been offered during the weekend through the generosity of local restaurants and vendors that have lend a hand to feed children during this difficult time.
