Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Welcomes 46 New Firefighters in Doral Ceremony

 

DORAL, FL – July 3, 2025 – This morning, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) held the graduation ceremony for Recruit Class 157, officially marking the addition of 46 new firefighters to its ranks. The event took place at the MDFR Training Facility in Doral.

After completing weeks of rigorous and highly specialized training, the 46 graduates of Class 157 are now prepared to serve the Miami-Dade County community.

MDFR Fire Chief Ray Jadallah addressed the new firefighters with a message of pride and motivation. “Class 157 recruits have trained with grit, learned with humility, and shown their dedication to something greater than themselves to earn their place among the finest,” said Chief Jadallah. “As you join our fire department, wear your badge with pride and honor, serve with courage, lead with compassion, and remember that you are now becoming part of a proud and time-honored tradition in public service. Welcome to the family, and congratulations on this incredible achievement.”

During the event, the recruits, dressed in their uniforms, received their graduation certificates. The highlight of the ceremony was when Chief Jadallah personally pinned the badges on each of the new firefighters’ uniforms, a symbolic act sealing their commitment and official welcome to the department.

These new firefighters will now integrate into various stations to begin their service, strengthening the response capabilities and safety of residents throughout Miami-Dade County.
