Abril Gomez Kuznecov of BridgePrep Academy Named District 12 Winner of “Every Drop Counts” Poster Contest.
DORAL, FL – Creativity and environmental awareness earned a young Doral student top honors in this year’s “Every Drop Counts” poster contest, organized by the Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department.
Abril Gomez Kuznecov, a student at BridgePrep Academy in Doral, was selected as the District 12 winner of the 17th annual contest, which invites elementary school students from kindergarten through fifth grade to design posters promoting water conservation. This year’s theme was “Be a Water Warrior: Every Drop Counts.”
District 12 Commissioner Juan Carlos Bermudez shared the exciting news and praised the student’s talent and message:
“I am pleased to congratulate Abril Gomez Kuznecov for earning first place in this year’s contest. Through Abril’s artistic talent, we are reminded that we all play a crucial role in protecting our environment.”
The goal of the contest is to inspire young minds to become advocates for sustainable water use and to highlight the power of individual action in preserving our planet’s resources. Abril’s poster stood out not only for its artistic quality but also for its powerful and timely message.
