The orthopedic network OrthoNOW® started selling franchises only three years ago, as of today they have already sold 11, distributed between Miami and Orlando in Florida and some in Georgia

The First Annual OrthoNOW Franchises Convention took place with a massive attendance and the participation of distinguished panelists, under the leadership of doctor Alejandro Badia, founder and director of this orthopedic center, which is in blunt expansion.
In this event, that took place at the headquarters of OrthoNOW in the City of Doral during the second week of March, several important orthopedic themes were discussed and also the latest techniques on this medical specialty were presented, the attendees reviewed injuries that were treated in several OrthoNow centers, there were different workshops and the expansion plans for this network of franchises was also explained.
OrthoNOW started operations around five years ago, it started operating as an urgent care center specialized in the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic and sports injuries. This in the words of doctor Alejandro Badia, who also explains that they have impacted positively the community because if someone has an orthopedic problem or injury they do not need to go to the ER of any hospital, given that OrthoNOW offers this type of specialized service immediately, without the need of a medical appointment.
“Because injuries don’t happen by appointment”, is the phrase that doctor Badia uses to define the work that the orthopedic center OrthoNOW has been conducting and after its success, its founders took the decision to expand, creating in 2013 the OrthoNOW franchise system.
“We have already sold 11 franchises: distributed between Miami and Orlando in Florida and in the State of Georgia”, stated doctor Badia and he added that they have plans to take the franchise to other states in the United States, such as Houston and San Francisco and then become international going to some countries such as Dubai, where they have already established contact with orthopedic specialists interested in OrthoNow.
One of the most recent franchises of OrthoNOW started operations just about a week ago in Biscayne, this follows the most recent ones in Aventura and Pinecrest and is just shy of the OrthoNOW center in Coral Way which should be ready by the next month. “Our intention is to continue expanding our orthopedic concept, the objective is to save money and time to the patients in their orthopedic treatments and injuries.
That is why this First Annual OrthoNow Franchises Convention which lasted for two days was so important. On the first day it was opened to the franchisees, the service vendors, anyone interested in the franchise and guest health professionals. The second day was directed, exclusively, to the actual franchisees in order to evaluate the scope of their services and goals for each one of the OrthoNow centers.
Among the panelists were: Dr. Aaron Morgenstein, distinguished orthopedist from Atlanta who was the moderator of the Conference; Dr. Alejandro Badia, founder of OrthoNow and who has been listed as one of the best 318 surgeons of hand by the “US News Top Doctors”; Dr. Gregorio Caban, surgeon specialist in foot and ankle; Dr. Jonathan GoLlieb, orthopedic surgeon for the spine; Dr. Frank McCormick, orthopedic surgeon specialized in sports injuries and Yanira Serralta, medical assistant with important certifications in orthopedics.
The group of speakers was formed by Arminda Figueroa, expert in digital media and marketing; Kevin Behan, coordinator of digital campaigns; Bill Cortright, professional broadcaster with specialization in stress management, well-being and personal development; Mallesh Murugesan, specialist in the application of technology to medicine; Richard R. Shapiro, leader in the area of customer satisfaction and client loyalty; Lucas Hart, professional in sales and leadership and Denis Thompson, who counts more than 25 years of experience in electric techniques in the treatment of injuries.

“When patients do not go directly to the specialist they loose time and money and generally speaking, they do not receive proper treatment suffering later worst problems and having a much slower recovery, which is the worst part of all”, explains doctor Badia. He also states that among the immediate services that are provided at OrthoNOW there are foot, ankle, knee, wrist, spine and shoulder, and also violent commotions, contusions and blows.
Dr. Badia was emphatic when he said that all of the OrthoNOW centers are equipped with the most advance equipment in the medical industry, they are serviced by a group of highly qualified medical experts in the latest techniques and orthopedic treatments, both surgical and non surgical and they accept all medical insurances.
“We also offer MRI, which is frequently needed in the appropriate diagnostic of injuries in soft tissue, such as tears in knees and shoulders. We can also perform ImPACT tests for the immediate evaluation of contusions and concussions, and as it is logical, we also offer physical and occupational therapy”, comments doctor Badia.
Badia told us also about the Neuro Therapy treatment ARP Wave (Accelerated Recovery Performance) that works according to the origin of the joint problem, tears, sprains, fractures or injuries due to repetitive movements caused by muscles that cannot absorb strength adequately.
Some other important services that need to be mentioned within OrthoNOW are the attention to hand and elbow injuries, foot and ankle, contusions, problems in hip and knee, automobile accidents, shoulder problems, spine and back pain and immediate care of work related accidents.
In order to better serve its clientele, OrthoNOW has recently launched a mobile application for iOs and Android which allows patients to contact immediately this orthopedic center. “For example if you are at the park and your son falls down, through this app you can provide us with your name, telephone and the accident that has just occurred and at the moment you arrive to our office we will have a medical team waiting for you to provide immediate attention”, indicates Dr. Badia.

La red ortopédica OrthoNow inició la venta de sus franquicias hace tan sólo tres años y ya han colocado 11 de ellas, distribuidas entre Miami y Orlando en la Florida y el estado de Georgia
Contando con una masiva participación de asistentes y la intervención de destacados panelistas se realizó la Primera Convención Anual de Franquicias OrthoNow, la cual estuvo liderizada por el doctor Alejandro Badia, fundador y director de este centro ortopédico en amplia expansión.
En el evento, que se efectuó en la sede de OrthoNow ubicada en la ciudad de Doral durante la segunda semana de marzo, se tocaron relevantes temas ortopédicos y se expusieron las últimas técnicas en esta especialidad médica, se revisaron lesiones tratadas en diferentes centros de OrthoNow, se establecieron talleres de trabajo y se explicaron los planes de expansión de esta red de franquicias.
OrthoNow inició sus operaciones hace poco más de cinco años, funcionando como un centro de atención de urgencias que se centra en la evaluación y el tratamiento de una amplia gama de lesiones ortopédicas y deportivas. Así lo informa el doctor Alejandro Badia, quien explica que han logrado impactar positivamente a la comunidad, pues si las personas tienen un problema ortopédico o lesión ya no necesitan ir a la sala de emergencia de un hospital, ya que OrthoNow ofrece atención especializada inmediata, sin necesidad de cita médica.

El segundo día estuvo dirigido, exclusivamente, a los franquiciados actuales con el objetivo de evaluar los alcances y metas de cada una de las sedes de OrthoNow.

“Cuando los pacientes no acuden directamente al especialista pierden tiempo y dinero y lo que es aún peor, generalmente, no reciben el tratamiento adecuado por lo que sufren mayores dolencias y su recuperación es mucho más lenta”, explica el doctor Badia, al mencionar que entre los servicios de atención inmediata que ofrecen en OrthoNow están las lesiones de pie, tobillo, rodilla, muñeca, columna y hombro; así como golpes, conmociones violentas y contusiones.
