Christi Fraga is the new Vice Mayor for the City of Doral

DORAL, FL – Councilwoman Christi Fraga became Vice Mayor for the City of Doral yesterday following Councilwoman Claudia Mariaca who presided as the City of Doral Vice Mayor during the past year. 

The city of Doral has expressed gratitude towards Claudia Mariaca for “doing a great job as a Vice Mayor” and has congratulated Christi Fraga on her new title. 

Fraga has been in Doral’s City Council since 2012. A year later, the City Council elected her to serve as Vice Mayor and in 2016 she was re-elected for a second term as a member of the City Council. 

As a City of Doral council member, Christi has concentrated her efforts on empowering the youth, women, the elderly, and the disabled. She has also undertaken efforts to improve traffic, education, businesses, parks, and recreational facilities and pet adoption.

Her legislative proposals include a Youth Advisory Board (YAB), a direct trolley route between Doral and Florida International University (FIU), and a City Computer Donation program that refurbishes and reallocates computers to Doral schools.

Currently, Fraga also manages two successful Doral Businesses as co-owner: South Florida Small Business Solutions and Brain Freeze Nitrogen Ice Cream and Yogurt Lab.
