COVID-19 retesting will be offered at three drive-through sites in Miami-Dade
DORAL, FL – According to Florida’s Department of Health, COVID-19 retesting will be offered at three drive-through sites in Miami-Dade.
People who tested positive for the virus and want to test again, can now request an appointment on Thursday to be retested on Friday at three sites: Marlins Park, the Youth Fair site at Tamiami Park and the South Dade Government Center.
According to the Miami Herald, COVID-19 retesting will be free and can only be taken through a previous appointment that can be made by calling 305-499-8767.
To qualify for a retest, a person must be an adult from Miami-Dade who tested positive for COVID-19 more than 14 days ago.
With this, now people can return after being diagnosed with COVID-19 to confirm if the disease has disappeared from their bodies and to be cleared, which was something many people weren’t able to do before because testing sites in the county didn’t allow people to be retested even after being recommended to do so.
