DispatchHealth, a provider of in-home medical care, is celebrating the opening of its third Florida location serving Miami-Dade County. Miami native Lizzie Valencia manages the local team of bilingual caregivers and says, “I am excited to introduce this new and innovative concept in my community.” At 3:30 on Tuesday, June 29th, the Doral-based team will mark the occasion with an official ribbon cutting at its new office located at 7925 NW 12th St. Suite 129.

Today, patients can request care via phone, DispatchHealth’s mobile app, or website. Once ordered, a medical team trained in emergency medicine quickly arrives at the patient’s home equipped with the necessary tools and treatments to handle a wide range of common to complex injuries – anything an emergency room can treat that’s not life or limb-threatening. “We’ve created the most complete platform that solves all aspects of delivering health care to the home, all while improving health outcomes and lowering costs,” said Dr. Mark Prather, CEO, and co-founder of DispatchHealth.

Since its founding in 2013, DispatchHealth’s unique model has proven to save an average of $1,100-1,700 per Acute Care visit. The organization is rapidly scaling across the U.S., including two additional Florida locations opening soon in Daytona Beach and Ocala. Most insurances are accepted, and visits get billed as urgent care. Those who don’t have insurance pay a flat $275 fee.
