Enrollment for Magnet programs at M-DCPS close on January 15
DORAL, FL – Enrollment for Magnet programs at M-DCPS is coming to an end and students interested in applying for the 2023-2024 school year have until January 15, 2023.
Those who want to join one of the more than 370 magnet programs and specialized courses available with unique thematic strands of study that focus on their interests, talents, and abilities can do so at www.miamimagnets.org
There are programs aimed at all grade levels and each student can apply to up to five schools. Later, they will be selected for each program through a random selection process and will receive notification letters around March 15, 2023. Parents/Guardians must declare their program acceptance by the specified deadline date.
Among the distinctive offerings are programs such as STArts – Science Technology and the Arts Exploration and Innovation – Space and Oceanic Exploration, Cybersecurity, Investing (using Bloomberg stock exchange terminals), Artificial Intelligence through Robotics, and Gaming Design.
Magnet programs foster diverse and equitable learning environments, incorporating innovative curricula and research-based teaching methods. Year after year, M-DCPS boasts more National Magnet Merit Awards from Magnet Schools of America than any other school district.
In Miami-Dade there are more than 100 schools that offer Magnet programs and each school has its own requirements that students must have completed before applying whether it’s an audition, and interview or gathering a set of minimum qualifications.
