Pump Station 14 at Doral will be upgraded in new Miami-Dade Water Project
DORAL, FL – Pump Station 14 at Doral will be upgraded as part of a Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) new project.
WASD has embarked on a Capital Improvement Program aimed at providing necessary upgrades to the water and sewer infrastructure with the purpose of offering high quality services, protecting public health and the environment.
The upgrade of Pump Station 14, located at 8340 and NW 54 Street, is expected to start in the fall of 2019 and to be completed by late 2020. Construction work will occur on weekdays from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
During the construction, there will be a bypass pump working 24 hours a day, which will bring noise, and intermittent traffic due to lane closures.
However, City of Doral stated through its twitter account that “the contractor will take additional steps to minimize impacts” and the areas affected will be restored at the end of the project.
These improvements will not affect the water or wastewater services in the area, and the access to properties will be maintained at all times.
