Press Statement from Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez Regarding G7 Summit Not Coming to Doral

DORAL, FL – We understand the administration’s decision and certainly appreciate being considered as a site for the 2020 G7 summit.

The last couple of days have undoubtedly shined a spotlight on Doral and I hope the world will keep watching as we continue to grow, prosper and offer top-notch quality of life for our residents, businesses and visitors.

In a late-night tweet on Saturday, President Trump referred to this matter stating his administration “will begin the search for another site, including the possibility of Camp David, immediately.” Camp David is located in Maryland, about 60 miles northwest of Washington.
