Rising Seniors
By Lucy Gonzalez
Just last week, DDCUS students traveled throughout Florida to scope out their future schools. The college trip provided a glimpse to what each university has to offer prospective students. Although there were adult chaperones, there were no parents, and this gave us an authentic taste of the college student experience.
The college tour, which included University of Florida, Florida State University, and University of South Florida, reminded us that once we become university students, we will have ample opportunities to jump out of our comfort zones.
As junior year comes to an end, juniors like me are finally considered “Rising Seniors.” Although we are not actually levitating around the school, its meaning does matter. Those who were in 11th grade will rise to be the leaders of the school and accomplish another set of achievements and traditions.
Senior trips, senior breakfast, senior pictures, and more, are just a few of the many festivities Rising Seniors will enjoy next school year.
The future is bright for those who have one year left! Let’s go!
