WM and the City of Doral Mayor Christi Fraga Partner on the Doral Mayoral Environmental Scholarships

Four $5,000 College Scholarships to be Awarded to Doral High School Seniors

WM is partnering with the City of Doral Mayor’s office on the inaugural Doral Mayoral Environmental Scholarship program to award four $5,000 college scholarships to graduating seniors at five local high schools, including Doral Academy Preparatory School, Downtown Doral Upper Charter School, JC Bermudez Doral Senior High School, School of Advanced Studies, and Ronald W. Reagan Doral Senior High School.

Eligible seniors must be Doral residents, have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and 40 hours of Community Service, and pursue a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) or Sustainability Studies major in college.

“We are extremely pleased to be partnering with WM on the inaugural City of Doral Mayoral Environmental Scholarships,” said Doral Mayor Christi Fraga. “This is a significant opportunity to assist our deserving local students in pursuing academic study and potential careers in environmental sciences and sustainability studies.”

Scholarship applications are available in the Guidance Departments of each high school and are due to their schools by Friday, April 5.
