Doral is waiting for Its First “Run Doral Corporate Race”.
Professional 5K and 10K Runs

The City of Doral is growing rapidly and this development not only in the economic sector, infrastructure, arts and entertainment but also the sports area.
The company Miami Tri Events, creators of the St. Augustine Half Marathon Weekend and producers of the City Bikes Ironman 70.3 Miami, among other professional sporting events, are the organizers of this initiative which has proposed to the representatives of the City, the creation of the first “Run Doral Corporate Race”. If approvals are granted, the event is scheduled to be released by September 2015.
Mr. Wilber Anderson, CEO and Race Director of the company Miami Tri Events explains the goal of this event for the Doral community:
“Our goal is to organize high-quality sports competitions that give the community the opportunity to participate in a remarkable experience, with an exciting, competitive and safe environment. We seek to integrate the community, in this case the corporate area of Doral, supporting them in raising awareness about sports in their employees and motivating them to maintain a healthy lifestyle. We know this is of great benefit to their businesses and the whole community.”
If permits are granted, it is expected that the event will have a high number of participants and attract the attention of television channels, and advertising and print media which also results in economic benefits for participating companies and the City.
“Run Doral Corporate Race”: What’s new?
Miami Tri Events has extensive experience in the sports field and their careers are distinguished not only by their professionalism, but also for leaving a nice impression on the participants and sponsors. “Our competitions cannot be compared with any other sporting event as we seek to integrate health and entertainment for the enjoyment of participants and attendees. We also take care of every detail so that we can offer a high-quality experience. To cite an example, in our runs, competitors can enjoy a full buffet after the event, not only the traditional bagels or fruit.”
Doral won’t be the exception in these details. The Run Doral Corporate Race will include live entertainment before and after the race, a wide variety of food, and cheering and beverage stations along the route. The tentative date is late September 2015 beginning at 4:00 pm in JC Bermudez Park located on NW 87th Ave and the race is expected to go down NW 33 Street through NW 107th Ave completing the 5K and 10K respectively. The race is scheduled to start at 6:00 pm with an approximate time of arrival at until 8:30 pm for those who prefer completing the race by walking rather than running.
As in all events organized by Miami Tri Events, participants know the results with time statistics, they will receive sports shirt and a medal at the finish line. Running packages will be available before the race: “Thanks to the participation of different organizations in Doral, with which we are already have had conversations, welcome packages will be promptly distributed at various points in the city,” added Mr. Anderson.
It is planned that the price range of registrations would be between $35- $40 for the 5K, and $45 – $50 for 10K. A corporate discount of 15% will be offered, as well as special prices for early registration.
Who can Participate?
All companies in the city, regardless of size or business area will be invited to participate. The only requirement is the desire to motivate their employees or colleagues to experience the benefits and fun of an event like this.
Although the event is aimed primarily for companies, nobody will be excluded. This competition will also welcome sporting groups even those that are not linked to a particular company. Community groups, schools and individuals are all welcome.
Although the event is still under discussion with the authorities of the City, the organizers are very optimistic that everything will be approved and carried out according to their expectations. Therefore, they are making contact with all those companies interested in becoming sponsors and have a space to promote their products or services. Similarly, they have opened the registration process for volunteers who want to join and actively support the event by offering their talents to encourage participants either at the finish line or aid stations.

Doral en espera de su primer “Run Doral Corporate Race”

La ciudad del Doral crece aceleradamente y este desarrollo considera no solo el sector económico, de infraestructura, artístico o de entretenimiento, sino también el área deportiva.
La empresa Miami Tri Events, creadores del Medio Maratón de San Augustine (Florida), y organizadores del City Bikes IronMan 70.3 Miami, entre otros eventos deportivos profesionales, son los organizadores de esta iniciativa quienes han propuesto a los representantes de la Ciudad la primera Carrera Corporativa del Doral. Si las aprobaciones son otorgadas, el evento se planea estrenar para Septiembre del 2015.

Buscamos integrar a la comunidad, en este caso el área corporativa del Doral, apoyarlos en crear conciencia sobre el deporte en sus empleados y motivarlos a llevar un estilo de vida saludable. Sabemos que esto es de gran beneficio para sus empresas y la comunidad en general”.
Si los permisos son otorgados, se espera que el evento tenga alta recepción y atraiga la atención de medios televisivos, publicitarios e impresos lo cual también se traduce en beneficios económicos para las empresas participantes y la ciudad.
Características del “Run Doral Corporate Race”
Miami Tri Events cuenta con una amplia experiencia en el campo deportivo y sus carreras se han distinguido no solo por su profesionalismo, sino por dejar una impresión agradable en los participantes y patrocinantes. “Nuestras carreras no pueden compararse con cualquier otro evento deportivo ya que buscamos integrar salud y entretenimiento para el disfrute de los participantes y asistentes. Además cuidamos cada detalle para que todo sea de alta calidad. Por citar un ejemplo, en nuestras carreras, los competidores pueden disfrutar de un buffet completo al terminar el evento, no solo el tradicional Bagels o frutas”.
El evento de la ciudad de Doral no será la excepción en estos detalles. El Run Doral Corporate Race incluirá entretenimiento musical en vivo antes y después de la carrera, variada comida, animación y estaciones de bebidas a lo largo de la ruta. La fecha tentativa es finales de Septiembre 2015 comenzando a las 4:00pm en el J.C. Bermudez Park ubicado en la NW 87th Ave con una ruta de competencia por la calle NW 33 Street hasta llegar a la NW 107th Ave completando los 5K y 10K respectivamente. Se tiene pautado que la carrera comience a las 6:00pm con un tiempo de llegada a la meta aproximada hasta las 8:30pm para quienes deseen realizar la ruta caminando en lugar de correr.
Como en todos los eventos organizados por Miami Tri Events, todos los participantes conocerán los resultados con sus estadísticas de tiempos, recibirán una camisa deportiva y una medalla en la línea de meta, así como tendrán la oportunidad de recibir los materiales previos a la competencia de una forma conveniente. “Gracias a la participación de las distintas organizaciones de la ciudad con las cuales ya estamos en conversaciones, los paquetes de preparación serán oportunamente distribuidos en varios puntos de la ciudad”, añadió el Sr. Anderson.
Se tiene planeado que el rango de precios de las inscripciones sea entre $35- $40 para la competencia de 5K, y $ 45 – $50 para los 10K. Se ofrecerá un descuento corporativo de un 15%, así como precios especiales para inscripciones tempranas.
¿Quiénes pueden Participar?
Todas las empresas de la ciudad, sin importar su tamaño o ramo comercial estarán invitadas a participar. El único requisito es el deseo de motivar a sus empleados o colegas a compartir de forma sana un evento deportivo y divertido.
Aun cuando el evento está orientado principalmente a empresas, nadie que desee participar será excluido. La competencia también dará la bienvenida a grupos deportivos aun cuando no estén vinculado con una empresa en particular, juntas de vecinos, comunidades, escuelas y hasta personas individuales.
A pesar que el evento se encuentra en periodo de discusión con las autoridades de la Ciudad, los organizadores se encuentran muy optimistas que todo sea aprobado y efectuado según sus expectativas. Por tal motivo, están haciendo contacto con todas aquellas empresas interesadas en ser patrocinantes y tener un espacio para promocionar sus productos o servicios. De igual forma, tienen abierto el proceso de registro de voluntarios para aquellos que deseen formar parte de este evento de forma activa pero sin competir y poner sus talentos a la orden para animar a los participantes bien sea en la línea de partida, llegada o en las estaciones de bebidas.
