In Miami-Dade, two new coronavirus test sites will open this Friday

DORAL, FL – Two new coronavirus test sites will open in Miami-Dade this Friday, July 24th, in the modality of drive-thru and will close ten days later on Sunday, August 2nd.

The two sites will be Miami Jackson High School, at 1751 NW 36th Street, Miami, and Miami-Dade Auditorium located at 2901 W. Flagler Street, Miami.

Alongside the County’s new coronavirus test sites, other three will open in South Florida: Dillard High School at 2501 NW 11th Street, in Fort Lauderdale, Blanche Ely High School located at 1201 NW 6th Avenue, in Pompano Beach, and MacArthur High School at 6501 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood.

All five drive-thru testing sites, federally funded, will open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will test individuals five-years-old and older regardless of symptoms, as announced by  the Florida Division of Emergency Management

The tests will be done free of charge, with or without insurance and can be conducted with an appointment and online registration here

Individuals will be provided with information on how to receive results once they are tested. Testing is available to all Florida residents, regardless of the county they live in.
