Miami-Dade Schools among the best in the U.S. according to recent report
DORAL, FL – Miami-Dade Schools was included in the U.S. News & World Report that lists the 2021 Best High Schools in America with 92 traditional and magnet schools from the district.
Also included in that group are four high schools that ranked among the top 100 in the nation, nine in the top 20 of the state, the School for Advanced Studies (SAS), which is the number one school in Florida, and the fifth top school in the nation.
Miami-Dade Schools stood out between nearly 24,000 public high schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia that were reviewed.
The magazine analyzed all the schools using a six-step analysis, including Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) tests, school performance, math and reading proficiency, graduation rates and achievement gap.
The following four M-DCPS schools were recognized among the best 100 schools in the nation:
#5 School for Advanced Studies (All five campuses)
#65 Design & Architecture Senior High School (DASH)
#72 iPreparatory Academy (iPrep)
#87 Jose Marti MAST 6-12 Academy
