DORAL, FL – Are you an adult willing to get the COVID-19 vaccine but unable to leave home? If this is your case, Sanitas has the perfect solution for you.
Through their Care at Home Program, every adult with an specific chronic condition and who also meets the criteria to be safely treated at home can get immunized without enduring the long lines at the vaccinations centers, just at the comfort of their homes and completely for free.
This initiative is part of the program Vaccine Community Connectors that aims at vaccinating 2 million most at-risk patients or who happen to live in vulnerable and undeserved communities across the United States.
“This is a program created in collaboration with Miami-Dade Mayor, Daniella Levine Cava, Easter Seals, Florida Blue and Sanitas with the purpose of providing the COVID-19 vaccine to the elderly and the most vulnerable populations,” says Dr. Raúl Daza, medical director of Sanitas in Florida.
But in order to access this service, patients are not required to have a medical insurance from Sanitas or from any other company.
Those interested in getting the COVID-19 vaccine, must visit www.mysanitas.com or www.mysanitas.com/es/ and click in ‘pre-register for vaccine’. Once there, they should fill out a form that would later be evaluated by Sanitas to determine who can receive the vaccine at home or at their medical centers.
“We contact people and then conduct an interview. Depending on what we learn in the interview, we can decide if the patient can be treated at home or if we have to make an appointment at one of our medical centers,” says Dr. Daza.
This service is available for residents in Doral and in all Miami-Dade County cities. Once patients are approved, a medical team visits their home to administer the COVID-19 vaccine with the proper and professional care they need regardless of their condition. Adults also receive a vaccination certificate.
Under the motto, “whether you can leave your home or not, Sanitas is here for you. Lets crush covid together!”, the organization is fully committed with the community in the fight against the coronavirus.
Sanitas has medical centers in Florida, Texas, Tennessee, New Jersey and Connecticut. As medical providers, they are well known for offering a personalized experience to each user in oder to carefully explain their medical situation and the treatment to follow.
Primary care doctors, specialists, lab, diagnostic imaging and even medications are available all in one place opened 7 days a week with extended hours.
