The Mayor’s Citizens Government Academy is back!
The City of Doral invites residents and business owners to learn how local government works. Sign up before March 22 to be part of this interactive program that focuses on educating citizens about the City’s governmental process.
DORAL, FL – For residents or business owners, navigating the maze of local government can be a difficult task. That is why the City of Doral offers a unique opportunity that provides participants with insight into how local government works.
The Citizens Government Academy is a free and interactive 9-week program promoting open lines of communication offering a clearer understanding of municipal government. City officials, Department Directors, and other city staff will host unique and informative sessions designed to give residents and business owners an opportunity to learn more about the City of Doral’s Governmental processes.
The two-and-a-half hour sessions will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM starting on March 26, 2019, for 9 weeks. Space is limited and all sessions are held in the Doral Government Center, located at 8401 NW 53rd Terrace. The application deadline is March 22, 2019.
Upon successful completion of the Academy, graduates will receive a Certificate of Completion that is presented by the Mayor and City Council during the City Council Meeting.
