Town of Medley Stands with Venezuela During Humanitarian Crisis
In the wake of the devastating earthquake that recently struck Venezuela, the Town of Medley joined the international humanitarian effort by standing in solidarity with the Venezuelan people and recognizing those working tirelessly to provide relief.
On Tuesday, June 30, Mayor Lily Stefano, accompanied by members of the Town Council, visited the Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) headquarters in Doral to personally thank the volunteers coordinating emergency humanitarian assistance for the victims of the disaster. As a gesture of appreciation, the Town delivered Cafecito Bombón to the dedicated volunteers who have been working around the clock to organize, package, and distribute critical relief supplies to the affected communities.
During the visit, Mayor Lily Stefano proudly presented Global Empowerment Mission with a $5,000 donation on behalf of the Town of Medley. The contribution will support humanitarian relief efforts by providing essential supplies and assistance to families affected by the earthquake as recovery efforts continue.

Tras el devastador terremoto que recientemente afectó a Venezuela, la Ciudad de Medley se unió a los esfuerzos internacionales de ayuda humanitaria, reafirmando su solidaridad con el pueblo venezolano y reconociendo la extraordinaria labor de quienes trabajan incansablemente para brindar asistencia a las comunidades afectadas.
El martes 30 de junio, la Alcaldesa Lily Stefano, acompañada por miembros del Concejo Municipal, visitó la sede de Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) en la ciudad de Doral para agradecer personalmente a los voluntarios que coordinan la ayuda humanitaria de emergencia destinada a las víctimas del desastre. Como muestra de agradecimiento, la Ciudad llevó Cafecito Bombón a los voluntarios que, durante largas jornadas, han trabajado sin descanso organizando, empacando y coordinando el envío de suministros esenciales hacia las zonas afectadas.
Durante la visita, la alcaldesa Lily Stefano hizo entrega oficial de un cheque por $5,000 a Global Empowerment Mission, en representación de la Ciudad de Medley. Esta contribución permitirá respaldar los esfuerzos de ayuda humanitaria, proporcionando suministros esenciales y asistencia a las familias afectadas por el terremoto mientras continúan las labores de recuperación.
