Mario Diaz-Balart secured $4.19M for improving Doral’s roadways
DORAL, FL – Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-26) hosted last Monday, June 17, 2024, at Miami International Mall at 1455 NW 107th Ave a check presentation ceremony for Miami-Dade County Roadway Safety Improvements in the City of Doral.
The event celebrated the $4.19 million in federal funding secured by Representative Diaz-Balart, which will go towards improving certain roadways within Doral.
These funds will be used for milling and resurfacing segments of NW 12th Street to NW 25th Street, from NW 107th Avenue to NW 87th Avenue. The enhancements will improve driving conditions and increase reliability and safety for the public.
The roadways project secured by Mario Diaz-Balart received funding through the Consolidated Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2024, which was approved by Congress and signed by the President on March 9th, 2024.
Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart, Senior Member of the House Committee on Appropriations, was joined by Juan Carlos Bermudez, Miami-Dade County Commissioner for District 12, during the check presentation.
This is the second occasion Diaz-Balart presents a check this year that benefits the City of Doral. On May 31, he presented a $2M check for the Doral Police Department with the purpose of upgrading their radios, which is key to deter crime or any other critical incident that may surface.
Excuse me, he DID NOT secure a damn thing. He is merely taking credit for money allocated to the city of Doral by the infrastructure bill that Biden passed. This is irresponsible reporting.
