“Thank you, Chief of Police, for what you and your folks do day in and day out, and to the Interim City Manager because you have a pivotal role in making sure this city continuous to be the great city that we know it is. I have a record fighting against excess government spending at the federal level and doing so effectively. I believe we need to spend less money, spend it wiser, and not to defund the police but rather to defend, support and help it. They are heroes that put their lives on the line every single day.”
