Iqba

Iqba (pronounced eek bah) is known as the country of peace. It is imagined as a man-made island located between Africa and Asia. Right now, Iqba is a fictional country, but not for long. I hope to turn it into a real micronation and eventually a true country. So, get ready for 2030, or as soon as I graduate.

Iqba’s main goal is to promote world peace by helping countries resolve conflicts through agreement instead of fighting. Its culture is inspired by both the Philippines and Cuba, creating a unique blend of traditions. A popular dish in Iqba is churrasco with mac and cheese, often served on birthdays and holidays. A favorite dessert is arroz con leche, along with mango ice cream, since the country is known for having plenty of mangoes and oranges all year.

One of the most important celebrations in Iqba is the Day of the Pearls. This holiday begins on April 3 and ends on April 29, focusing on peace of mind. During this time, people fast at the beginning of the month, create handmade gifts for others, and spend time with family sharing sweets and kind words. On the final day, everything closes except for emergency services so people can rest and recharge.

Iqba also has its own official language: Esperanto. This language was created to be easy to learn and understood around the world. By using Esperanto, Iqba hopes to encourage communication and unity among people from different countries.

In terms of lifestyle, Iqba values confidence and natural beauty. Fashion trends include styles inspired by early 2000s looks, such as tracksuits, denim, and casual streetwear. In addition, young children receive basic needs like clothing and food for free, and it is common for families to live together until young adulthood.

Iqba may be imaginary for now, but it represents a real idea: a place where peace, culture, and understanding come first. One day, it might not just be a dream, but a place people can truly call home.  Maybe you will want to live there someday too.
