As a way to respond to the current need of professional training in high-demand careers, the Center for the Study of the Americas, or better known as CENSA Miami Institute, opened its doors in South Florida in 2010 and it has made a difference in higher education ever since.

before August 20th, parents and children are getting ready to go back to school. Checklists include: uniforms, school supplies, finalizing summer readings or assignments, trying to get back into routine, deciding which extracurricular activities the children will participate in this year….trying to make the most of these last “restful” days. But parents and kids are not the only ones that are getting into a back to school mode. School administrators, most of whom have hardly taken any time off, have been working hard to ensure a smooth start… organizing schedules, assigning classes, reviewing budgets, coordinating and checking that when the teachers and students return, the school is ready for them!

When school commences this coming August an exciting class will be taught at Doral Middle School. Marcela Caminos, a teacher with a degree in Medical Veterinary from Argentina and a Masters Degree in Science Education from Nova University, will take over the agriscience program at DMS.
