City of Doral Will Unite to Celebrate National Day of Prayer
Doral, FL – Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez and City Council invite the community to join them on May 5th, to observe the National Day of Prayer with a special ceremony. This annual tradition of the City, returns to an in-person format, following the COVID-19 pandemic.
The program begins at 12:00 p.m. and includes inspirational messages from Mayor Bermudez, religious leaders from the Doral community, as well as live performances from a local choir. Immediately following the ceremony, guests are invited to enjoy lunch. This unifying event is free and open to the public.
The National Day of Prayer was established as an annual event in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. The observance of the National Day of Prayer is founded on the constitutional rights of freedom of speech and freedom of religion and can be celebrated by all.
