Doral Police asks the public for further information regarding shooting
DORAL, FL – The Doral Police Department is asking the public for more information regarding an incident reported last night, Sunday Dec.9, at City Place Doral.
At around 9:17 p.m., as seen in a video footage captured by a cellphone and shared on social media, several men and women got into a fight in a parking garage on a stairway that ended with someone pulling out a gun and opening fire.
The shooter, a male who was was wearing a pink sweatshirt, khaki shorts and a black cap, fled to the second floor, while people began running behind cars to cover themselves.
According to the Doral Police Department, the suspect has not been identified and no arrests have been made, although several people were injured as a result of the argument that involved punches.
The scene caused police to surround the dining and shopping complex and search the area for several hours. Rey Valdes, Public Information Officer for the Doral Police Department, said to the media the incident began inside one of the restaurants and it’s still unclear what were the motives behind it.
