City of Doral Policies to Minimize the Anticipated Impacts
of the Construction of New Traffic Signals and Intersection Improvements
Carrying out the new traffic signals and intersection improvement projects detailed above will impact traffic in the areas adjacent to these intersections. However, the City of Doral’s Public Works Department has already developed specific policies to mitigate and minimize these disruptions for residents and businesses located in the areas adjacent to these intersections. These are as follows:
Construction work will only be allowed during off-peak hours and/or night time using the Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plans that have been approved for the project.
The City will be coordinating with the contractor for the distribution of notices to area residents and businesses prior to the start of construction.
The project team will also coordinate street closures and detours with those Doral businesses that are adjacent to the intersection.
Message boards will be placed in anticipation of the start of construction.
The City’s Public Affairs Department will be providing information and notices about the projects on the City’s website, Social Media, and through e-mail blasts.
The City of Doral would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience while these projects are under construction. New traffic signals and improved intersections will not only help to increase connectivity and enhance safety, but they will also minimize both travel times and vehicular collisions. As such, these improvements will also serve to continue to enrich quality of life for our entire community!
