October brings a fun variety of events for the entire family. Each event is an opportunity to create unforgettable memories with your little ones:

City of Doral is inviting families to participate of these fun events:

  • Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest & Trunk-or-Treat Contest: October 19th, from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at Trails & Tails Park. Families are invited to join the City for the annual Howl-O-Ween Spooktacular! Residents can participate in the Dog Custome Contest or the Trunk-or-Treat Contest. For four-legged friends participating will have the chance to win prizes under the categories:  Best Halloween Themed Costume, Best Superhero or Villain Costume, Most Creative, Cutest Costume, Best Dog & Owner Group Costume, and Best Multiple Dog Group Costume.

“Trunk or Treat!” will be another fun addition for families or individuals to decorate their cars in a very creative way. Some regulations apply. Registrations open now.

  • Movies at the Park: October 25th, 7:30 pm at Downtown Doral Park. Don’t miss the opportunity to share with family and friends this family friendly film “on the green” on a giant inflatable movie screen. You just have to bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the evening. There will be refreshments for purchase. Alcoholic beverages, glass containers, or pets are not allowed. This event is free and open to the public.

Coconut Grove Pumpkin Patch Festival:

October 26th and 27th, from 10:00am to 6:00pm.

This wonderful and fun-filled festival will be ready for everyone at the end of the month. Pick your perfect pumpkin, every color and size, from $1-$15 in this great patch. Also, enjoy unlimited carnival rides for kids of every age (and the kids at heart) including everything from kiddie roller coasters to bumper cars.

Beautiful photo fall scenes will be available for unforgettable pictures, a Scarecrow village, Pumpkin decorative tent with art supplies, Cornstalk maze for the little ones, Pumpkin food court, pumpkin beer bars and much more. 2019 World Professional Latin American Ballroom Championships:

October 24th to 26th at the Trump National Doral Resort & Spa.

ZOO MIAMI’S ZOO BOO Halloween:

October 26th and 27th

Families with kids 12 years old and under are invited to Zoo Miami to trick-or-treat at Zoo Boo, a fun and exclusive daily event included with Zoo admission. All participating in Zoo Boo, are welcome to come out in their best costumes to enjoy face painting, Fang-tastic Costume Contests by Main Street Dental with prizes, photo ops, Halloween crafts and performances by Actors Playhouse Musical Miracles at 11:30am, 12:30pm and2:30 pm.

Pinto’s Farm Pumpkin Patch:  

From now until November 3rd.

This year-round farm is always offering a fun attraction for family members. This time of the year, they have added a wonderful pumpkin patch to their farm. Kids will have a blast this fall choosing their own pumpkin, then painting them at the arts and crafts station. Families will have the opportunity to hang out at the petting zoo, jump in a paddleboat, go on a hayride or pony ride, and take photos with the scarecrows. The Little Farm: Pumpkin Patch 2019:  From now until October 31st, 10:00am to 4:00pm. The Little Farm is already decorated for fall and has plenty of photo opportunities, and pumpkins to pick from. The General $10 admission fee also includes a pony ride on Saturdays and Sundays only. Children will love meeting the animals at the petting zoo which includes milking a goat and hand feeding some of the animals, and exploring the butterfly garden. www.thelittlefarm.us


Hope Pumpkin Patch:

from now until October 31st, 10:00 am to 9:00pm daily at Miami Lakes United Methodist Church.

This is the 22nd anniversary of this annual community pumpkin patch. This Pumpkin Patch has many fun things to offer, from purchasing yummy pumpkins to family-friendly programming: weekend performances, pumpkin princess visit, maze, face painting, balloon creations, pumpkin bread, and photo scenes. Admission is free for kids 12 and under with a paying adult, and admission includes a $2 Pumpkin Buck to go towards any gourd or pumpkin purchase! Bass Babies: Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the Bass Museum. This weekly art program is designed for children ages 2-4 and their caregivers, to foster new discoveries in sensory awareness, creativity, and pre-literacy skills through hands-on art activities. During October’s first-week class class, children will be creating 3D forms and learning about artists that use stacking and building in their artwork. Tickets are $10 per class and $8 per class for members. www.thebass.org


Free Friday Guided Tours Day: Every Friday at 6:00 pm at FIU The Wolfsonian. Take part of these fabulous free tours each Friday afternoon and let you family enjoy and learn a little bit more The Wolfsonian-Florida International University’s During the 45-minutes tour of the building, collection, or exhibitions, all attendees will learn about art and design and develop interest and love for them.   www.wolfsonian.org
