The City of Doral Police Department is Looking For Certified Police Officers
DORAL, FL – As this new year begins, the City of Doral Police Department is now hiring a certified police officer.
According to the City of Doral Website, the starting salary for this job is of $54,307.64 and the elected candidate will have access to a comprehensive benefits package that includes 11 paid holidays per year, 2 paid personal days, tuition reimbursement (after 6 months of full-time employment), and medical, dental and vision insurance.
The personal days must be used before the end of the fiscal year. Sworn employees may choose to bank holiday time worked on an hour for hour basis with no cap on leave accrued.
About paid time off (PTO), it should be noted that full-time sworn employees of the City of Doral Police Department accrue paid time off (PTO) that can be used for any reason without accrual limits.
Also, the hired police officer will be able to join different plans and programs such as the Take-Home Car Program (after successful completion of probation), Florida Retirement System Pension Plan, Deferred Retirement Option Plan (DROP), and the Deferred Compensation Plan.
In addition to this, full-time City of Doral Police Officers have other benefits such as working in a smoke free and drug free workplace and access to Life, Short-term and Long-term Disability. The City of Doral covers life insurance at the rate of two (2) times the employee’s annual salary, and offers both short-term and long-term disability plans which act as income protection plans.
