American Legion Post 346 Presented Aircraft at Doral’s Squadron
DORAL, FL – In their ongoing efforts to support the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Squadron of Doral, the 319th Squadron since inception, American Legion Post 346 under the command of Commander, Mr. Benny Benitez (U.S.Navy Cold War Era Veteran) presented his fourth historical aircraft presentation to the Cadets of CAP 319th on Thursday August 4, 2022.
The presentation concerned the famous, Consolidated B-24 Liberator, four engine, all American made heavy bomber of World War Two, the most produced bomber in the history of warfare as 18,482 were produced between 1940 and 1945.
Commander Benitez and his American Legion Post, Post 346 the Captain Felix Sosa Camejo Post named after Bay of Pigs Veteran / U.S. Army Captain Felix Sosa Camego who was killed in action in Vietnam on Sunday February 13th 1968 brings a strong and established level of Americanism, Patriotism and proud U.S. Air Army Air Corp. / United States Air Force history to the Cadets of CAP 319th.
Commander Benitez always commences his presentation to the Cadets with a salute to the colors and the pledge of allegiance of which the Cadets recite with him. As always the Cadets delight to learn of their proud history and aircraft’s and are always fully engaged in questions presented to Commander Benitez.
Commander Benitez dedication and commitment to support the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Squadron of Doral is very much appreciated and it is a testament to the sense of Veterans like Commander Benitez in never ending their sense of service to their community and country.
