Doral, FL – On June 28th, City elected officials and administrators joined the project’s contractor, Kaufman Lynn Construction, and architects, Bermello Ajamil & Partners, to celebrate a milestone development in the Doral Parks and Recreation park system with the topping out ceremony at Doral Central Park.

The prominent celebration marked the completion of the highest structural point of the cutting-edge 70,000 square foot indoor recreation center that includes a double gymnasium with bleacher seating, an elevated indoor running track, a child watch room, large indoor fitness center overlooking the lake, learning kitchen, multi-purpose exercise rooms and much more. This achievement represents a significant step in the park’s construction, which aims to create an oasis for wellness, recreation, and community development.

“The City is committed to creating dynamic urban spaces that promote wellness, health, and community-building. The park’s topping out ceremony is a testament to the City’s vision of providing excellent recreational opportunities for all its residents and to our on-going commitment to deliver the world-class project that the community deserves,” said Mayor Christi Fraga.

“Kaufman Lynn Construction is honored to collaborate with the City of Doral on this exciting project and is proud to reach this construction milestone together with our team and project partners,” said Mr. Garret Southern, Senior Vice President of Kaufman Lynn Construction.

The park’s first phase is set to open in the summer of 2024, contributing to the vibrancy of the City’s neighborhood. Thanks to the Parks Bond, passed by voters in 2018, the City is investing in this critical infrastructure development to build a state-of-the-art recreational facility for its residents.

  • Mayors , Commissioners owned by Developers who act like they are doing it for the people .

A green space is just that green , not construction , cement poured on grass .
