Providing Parents and Students Academic Support for College Admission

DORAL, FL – After witnessing first-hand the hardship many families in Doral experience navigating the educational system, and even more understanding the college application process, Juan Carlos Silva knew he had to find ways to assist and support them. The answer came through Livius Tutoring, who offered him the opportunity of joining their team and opening the first Livius Center in South Florida, here in Doral.
Silva was principal at Ronald W.Reagan/Doral Senior High School until 2016, and worked in education for more than 23 years, for Miami-Dade County Public Schools. High School graduations were his favorite moments of the year, moments that really impacted his career. “I witnessed [the work] that so many educators did in preparing students for that next step in their lives; one that would ultimately define who they would be. The one thing that I always wondered was if we had done enough” explained Silva.
He found on Livius an organization that “could provide the extra support needed to ensure [students] success beyond high school. Getting into college and paying for college has never been more confusing.” Livius has more than 35 years of experience helping students understand the college application process, “empowering them to understand the strategic path to success and giving them the confidence to attack that process proactively.”
How do Livius Programs work?
Livius Tutoring programs have helped students achieve “1000+ Perfect SAT & ACT scores, 2500+ Ivy League acceptances, and most recently $30K in merit-based scholarships per student at a school program”, says Silva. “Whether it’s through SAT/ACT prep, college counseling, high school entrance exams, homework help or subject-based tutoring, our personalized approach has helped thousands of students across the country build their own blueprint towards academic success. We have done this through a combination of proprietary curriculum, expert faculty, proven strategies, and a commitment to results-oriented expertise.”
“We know that getting a good score is important, but it’s just as important to help you understand exactly what your score means for you as you think about your next step applying to college and scholarships” explains Silva. “We focus on providing extensive training and development to ensure each student interaction is an impactful and memorable one. We also ensure that tutors and students are matched together based on learning styles and personalities”
At the center, they have total college preparation packages that include diagnostic testing, tutoring, counseling and scholarship assistance.” According to Mr. Silva, there is no other offer as complete as Livius’ in South Florida at the moment, “with this level of depth and success”.
There will offer programs that can be taken online and also at the Doral location. “Our online programs are live one on one and class-based instruction, never prerecorded lectures. If you’re looking for more traditional tutoring and you are close to one of our locations, you can meet with a Master’s level tutor through a structured schedule. This is an optimal solution whether you are prepping [to take the test] for the first or for the third time” explained Silva.
They will also offer guidance to families on all financial options to pay for college, “Grants, loans, scholarships, FAFSA. We’ll help you understand what all this means and give you your personalized plan of attack that will reduce the cost of college and maximize your opportunity to win scholarships” said Silva.
“I knew Doral had to be the location for the first center. With our time-tested experience working with over 50,000 students for over 35 years and using our proprietary materials, strategies, and training processes for tutors we are committed to helping the residents of Doral achieve their college goals.”
A billion dollar in scholarships for Florida students
With a goal of helping students in the State of Florida to achieve a billion-dollar in accumulated scholarships, LIVIUS has introduced the #ProjectBillion program. “Through this program, the goal is to secure a billion-dollar in scholarships for the State of Florida. We are excited to have Doral be the first community in the State to kick off this initiative as we work with the local students in securing the scholarships right here in Doral” said Silva.
Families interested in taking advantage of the many choices of training programs available at the Doral center should write to email@example.com with the word “Yes!” to receive their grand opening promotion.
