CITY OF DORAL

Hurricane season is quickly approaching and the City of Doral wants to remind everyone that the time to prepare is now!

The request to modify the zoning of this area was done by the company Doral Court Retail Investment, LLC that plans to build the Mixed-Use project “Doral Square”. By allowing this new zoning, this project can bring the appropriate environment for those that will work in these new offices and visit the retail spaces that will be very close to them.

This year, although staff from the City of Doral attended the event, the focus has shifted to consolidating strategic connections that have been created in previous editions. 

Taking into consideration the residential, commercial, and industrial growth of the City of Doral in recent years and the amount and complexity of the legal issues that are generated in our community, the City of Doral Council approved the creation of an Internal Legal Department.

The City of Doral Council approved unanimously a Combined Voluntary Cooperation and Operational Assistance Mutual Aid Agreement with the Town of Medley.

On Thursday, April 19, Chief Hernan Organvidez was sworn in as chief  along with Deputy Chief Raul Ubieta, surrounded by family, friends and supporters during a ceremony at the City of Doral Council Chambers.

The soccer stadium that David Beckham wants to build in Miami, and that will serve as home for the professional soccer team for Miami could be built in Doral, given the urban, commercial and sporting facilities that our city offers.

The initial objectives of his administration are to make the police more visible, to work with the communities and to take advantage of the available technological resources to improve safety.
