Daniella Levine Cava has been re-elected as Mayor of Miami-Dade County, securing 58% of the vote in Tuesday’s election. This victory allows her to continue her tenure in a position she first won in 2020 when she made history as the first woman to lead Florida’s most populous county.
Levine Cava faced six challengers, including prominent figures like Miami Lakes Mayor Manny Cid and former Surfside Mayor Shlomo Danzinger. Also in the race were Carlos Garín, a former candidate for Florida’s 28th Congressional District; Cuban-American influencer Alexander Otaola; Miguel Quintero and Eddy Rojas.
Despite the strong competition, Levine Cava remained the voters’ favorite, recognized for her leadership and commitment to the community.
