Doral Legacy Park Reaches Major Milestone
On May 17th, City elected officials and administrators joined the project’s designer, architects and contractors in celebrating the topping off of Doral Legacy Park, the city’s newest place to play and the greatest jewel in Doral’s crown of parks . The event marked the symbolic completion of the structural phase of the building.
This highly-anticipated park is on schedule for a fall 2016 grand opening and has even come in under budget during the first phase, resulting in the addition of a band shell and sitting wall in the civic area. Another achievement is the tax credit of half a million dollars the City received for properly handling the removal of old soil from the land.
Doral’s seventh park will house the city’s largest community center with an indoor basketball gymnasium, community/cultural room, conference room and much more in the 35,000 square foot space. The facility includes sports amenities for the community to enjoy soccer, tennis, softball, and football.
Doral Legacy Park is now a reality for the thousands of residents that will get to enjoy its state-of-the-art amenities.

El 17 de mayo, los oficiales electos y administradores de la Ciudad de Doral se sumaron a los diseñadores, arquitectos y contratistas del proyecto para la celebración de la colocación del techo del edificio de Doral Legacy Park, considerado como la mayor joya de todos los parques de Doral. El evento marcó la culminación simbólica de la fase estructural del edificio.
La apertura de este parque esta prevista para otoño 2016 e incluso ha llegado por debajo del presupuesto durante la primera fase, dando como resultado la adición de una concha acústica y un área de estar.
Otro logro es el crédito fiscal de medio millón de dólares, que recibió la Ciudad por manejar adecuadamente la remoción de tierra del terreno.
El séptimo parque de Doral albergará el mayor centro comunitario de la ciudad con un gimnasio cubierto de baloncesto, salón cultural, sala de conferencias y mucho más en un espacio de 35,000 pies cuadrados. Además, incluye instalaciones deportivas comunitarias para jugar fútbol, tenis, béisbol y fútbol americano.
Doral Legacy Park es una realidad para miles de residentes que disfrutarán de excelentes y modernas instalaciones.
