Help the planet and spread the word on America Recycles Day
DORAL, FL – On Friday, November 15th, it will be America Recycles Day. This is the perfect opportunity to bring awareness among the community about the important benefits of recycling.
Recycling is the process of collecting and processing materials to turn them into new products instead of throwing them away as trash.
We can all contribute to this cause on America Recycles Day and the rest of the year by recycling at home some of the things we have instead of replacing them for the benefit of the community and the environment.

According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), recycling reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills and incinerators.
This is not something insignificant when we look at statistics about waste. EPA has found that in the United States solely (2015), 262.4 millions tons of trash were generated, while 137.7 million tons ended up in landfills.
And this important practice also conserves natural resources such as timber, water and minerals, and increases security by tapping a domestic source of materials.
In addition to this, it prevents pollution by reducing the need to collect new raw materials, saves energy, supports American manufacturing and conserves valuables resources.
Lastly, recycling helps create jobs in the recycling and manufacturing industries in the United States.
And what can you recycle?Anything from leftover paint, old cell phones, beer cans, plastic bottles that are contaminating the oceans instead of being born into new products; to aluminum cans and aluminum foil and bakeware.
