Celebrating the 71’s anniversary, this annual rodeo is really a favorite tradition.

The event includes demonstrations, a beautiful and free parade, kid’s activities and more.

Zoo Miami is starting the year with great events:

Dinosaurs LIVE! Opening:

January 18th and 19th from 10:00 am.

A zoo-wide Jurassic Adventure with life-sized animatronic dinosaurs at every turn. A wonderful new adventure for all ages. Tickets purchased online and redeemed during opening weekend, will receive a Dinosaurs Live! souvenir cup and a $5 credit towards purchases of $20 or more inside the Gift Shop. Dinosaurs LIVE! is included with general admission.

 

Jurassic Night Adventures: January 24th from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Dinosaurs have arrived at Zoo Miami! Join the group for an after-hours walking tour as the zoo safari guide takes attendees on a journey to discover over 20 of these prehistoric creatures. Wear comfy shoes because the 45-minute adventure is active!. Tours also available on selective nights from February – April. $15/person ($12 for Zoo Members) zoomiami.org


The city of Doral opens 2020 with these family-fun events:

Movies at the Park – Toy Story 4:

January 24th at 7:30 pm – Downtown Doral Park.

Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy the weather while meeting with family and friends to watch a family-friendly film “on the green” on a giant inflatable movie screen. As always, refreshments will be available for purchase. Feel free to bring your lawn chairs or blankets.

 

Play Day 2020: February 1st, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm- Doral Meadow Park

Join the City during this wonderful annual event. The purpose of this event is to encourage kids to PLAY! Miami Dade Public Library offers these great free events:

  • Around the World in 30 Instruments: January 21st at 6:00 pm- Miami Beach Regional, and January 22nd at 4:00 pm – Pinecrest Branch. Join Four Shillings Short for a multi?cultural and multi?instrument concert experience! Enjoy traditional music from Ireland, Scotland, England, Europe, the Americas, and India played on over thirty musical instruments. This is a fantastic event for people of all ages.
  • The Snow Queen: January 25th at 11:00 am at Key Biscayne Branch. In this magical winter show, join the Snow Queen for an imaginary trip to her castle in Antarctica, where all attendees will learn the art of making a snowman, discover the miracle of the northern lights and meet her playful puppets.
  • Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood- Miami Children Museum: A brand new traveling exhibit will be opened on January 25th.  Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood: A Grr-ific Exhibit will allow children to play, sing, explore and pretend in some favorite and familiar places from Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. Families can try a fun activity, share memory and create grr-ific new ones on this beautiful day! The official ribbon cutting will be at 12:00pm but the opening celebration will last the entire weekend including the Miami Children’s Museum’s Theater Troupe’s brand new production, inspired by the social-emotional themes for the hit show, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. The Magic of Reading Brunch: January 25th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Book & Books Coral Gables.

During this wonderful event, children will have the opportunity to meet Suki Lopez, Nina on Sesame Street, for a read-aloud and meet & greet. There will also be stations for Make Your Own Book, Sock Puppet Making, and Monster Plate Making. All participants will be showing their support for Read to a Child and take home some fun goodies by purchasing Mystery Grab Bags! The bags will include mystery items ranging from restaurant gift cards, fitness classes, vouchers for family-friendly activities, and more.

South Motors Fine Arts Festival:

January 25th and 26th, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm- at Pinecrest Botanical Garden.

Come to one of Florida’s premier juried art shows, and enjoy a day surrounded by spectacular visual arts in the lushest and luxurious setting.
